Profile and account settings
Two different places hold “your stuff”, and it helps to know which is which:
- Profile is what you have collected — your saves and your likes.
- Settings → Account is your details — name, email, password.
Profile
Section titled “Profile”Reach it from View Profile in the user menu. It shows your name and avatar above two tabs:
- Saves — screens you bookmarked
- Likes — screens you liked
Saves and likes are not the same thing
Section titled “Saves and likes are not the same thing”They are separate lists and they do different jobs.
Saving is for you. It is a bookmark, and Saves is the shortlist you come back to when you are actually building something.
Liking is a signal. It marks a screen as good, and it feeds what surfaces as popular for everyone.
Nothing stops you from using both on the same screen. If you only want one habit, save the screens you intend to use.
Neither counts against your copy quota. Both are unlimited on every plan.
Settings → Account
Section titled “Settings → Account”Your name
Section titled “Your name”Editable directly. This is the name shown on your profile.
Email address
Section titled “Email address”Shown here, but not editable in the app — your email is how your account, subscription, and sign-in are all identified, so changing it is not a field edit. If you need to move your account to a different address, email support@betterdesign.ai from the address currently on the account.
Password
Section titled “Password”You can set a password if you do not have one, or update an existing one. A password is entirely optional: magic links and Google both sign you in without one. See accounts and signing in.
Deleting your account
Section titled “Deleting your account”Also in Settings → Account, and it is permanent — your account and its data go, and we cannot restore them afterwards.
Two things worth knowing before you do it:
- If you have an active subscription, cancel it first so it does not renew. See subscription and billing.
- Screens you have already copied into Figma are unaffected. Those frames are in your Figma files, not ours, and deleting your account does not reach into them.
Themes
Section titled “Themes”Light, dark, and system are in the user menu, not in Settings — it is a per-browser display preference rather than an account setting, so it sits where you can flip it without leaving the page you are on.
Other settings
Section titled “Other settings”- Plans and copy limits
- Subscription and billing
- Devices — signed-in browsers, and revoking them
