Quickstart
betterdesign is a library of Figma screens you copy into your own files. Unlike a screenshot gallery, every screen is a real Figma layer tree — Auto Layout, variables, components — so it arrives editable.
1. Sign in
Section titled “1. Sign in”Go to betterdesign.ai and sign in. You can use a magic link, an email and password, or Google — see accounts and signing in if you are choosing between them.
2. Find a screen
Section titled “2. Find a screen”Discover is the main library view. Filter by category, device, or pattern, or search if you already know what you want. Full detail in Discover.
3. Open it
Section titled “3. Open it”Clicking a screen opens its detail page: a full-size preview, the flow it belongs to, and related screens from the same project.
4. Copy to Figma
Section titled “4. Copy to Figma”Press Copy to Figma on the screen page. The first time, your browser asks
permission to write to your clipboard — allow it. Then open a Figma file you
have edit access to and paste with ⌘V on macOS or Ctrl+V on Windows.
Nothing to install: no plugin, no extension.
The one thing to know is that each copy counts against your monthly quota. Browsing, searching, and saving are all unlimited — only copying is metered.
Both are covered in Copy to Figma.
5. Make it yours
Section titled “5. Make it yours”What you paste is ordinary Figma. Restyle it, swap the copy, rebind it to your own variables. Nothing phones home and nothing expires.
Where to go next
Section titled “Where to go next”- Save screens you want to come back to
- Plans and copy limits — how many copies you get and when they reset
- Licence — using these screens in client and commercial work
